Online recording is easy to create and can be scheduled quickly
Online recording can be termed as instant recording which you can create instantly without any delay. To create online recording, the server where Recoveryfix Computer Monitor is installed and the computer which is being monitored should be in working condition.
Online Recording can be created in number of ways:
1. From the Preview Pane: Select the screen preview thumbnail of any monitored computer and click the right mouse button. Select the Record User Activity option. Record User Activity window will be displayed with options to configure recording.
2. From the Recordings Menu Bar: Select the Record User Activity option from the Recordings menu. Record User Activity window will be displayed with options to configure recording.
Following are the steps to create online recording of any monitored computer in LAN.
Step 1:
Activate the Record User Activity window by selecting the Record User Activity option from Preview Pane or Recordings Menu. Record User Activity window will be displayed to configure online recording:
Enter Recording Name |
Type the name of the recording which you want to create. |

Enter Recording Path |
Define the disk location of your computer where you want to save the scheduled recording file. |

Create Movie in |
You can create movie in AVI format. |

Split Movie After |
This option lets you to split a movie into parts of the scheduled time period. For example, if you want to create a movie of 10 minutes and you define 5 minutes of split time, then the software will create two movie files of 5 minutes each. This means software will first create a first movie file of first 5 minutes and then will create second movie of second 5 minutes. A movie of 10 minutes has been divided into two movie files of 5 minutes. Please Note: Time defined in the Split Movie After section should be less than the time period defined in Set Recording Duration section.

Set Frames

This option lets you define the number of frames which will be captured in one minute. Maximum limit is 60 frames per minute. In the Figure 1, Set frames is 30 and the movie duration is 10 minutes, so the frames that will be captured and saved for this movie file would be 300 frames in 10 minutes i.e. 10 x 30 =300

Set Recording Duration |
Define the time up to which you want to create online recording for a user. Minimum time: 1 minute and Maximum time : 720 minute

Step 2:
Click OK to continue with the recording. As the recording gets scheduled, Recoveryfix Computer Monitor displays following message on the thumbnail of the computer:
It will display the message: Initializing Recording. Please Wait... and when the recording starts it changes the message to Recording time period:
After recording gets completed, you can view it from the saved location.
1. Recoveryfix Computer Monitor software creates a folder at the defined location with the computer name for whom the recording has been scheduled and saved.
2. The computer name folder then contains another folder which is named with the date and time creation of the recording.
This folder consists of the .AVI files that have been created by the software.:
Double click the file and Windows Media Player will open up and show the recording:
